Privacy Policy
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, "GDPR"), how GutterCalcs.com processes personal data. Although the site targets a US audience, it is operated by an EU company, so the GDPR applies to visitors in the EU/EEA; a CCPA note for US residents is below.
1. Data controller
Redbit S.r.l.s., Viale della Grande Muraglia 494, 00144 Rome, Italy (VAT IT15237911001). E-mail: [email protected].
We have not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO). For any privacy matter, write to [email protected].
2. Hosting & server logs
When you open the site, information is automatically recorded in server log files (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type) for secure and reliable delivery. Legal basis: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Delivery uses a content-delivery network (Cloudflare) for security and speed.
3. Consent & cookies
Consent is managed with InMobi Choice (InMobi Technology Services Pte. Ltd., Singapore), a consent management platform certified under IAB TCF v2.4. Its cookie banner appears in every country except the United States. We set advertising cookies only with your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you give granularly in the cookie banner and can withdraw at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer. Statistics cookies (Google Analytics 4) follow the rules in section 4. Necessary cookies and local-storage entries that store your consent and privacy choices (set by InMobi, kept for up to 13 months) work without consent. Details: cookie policy.
4. Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) for audience measurement. Usage data is processed pseudonymously. Data may be transferred to third countries under Standard Contractual Clauses.
Outside the United States Google Analytics 4 runs only with your consent in the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use Google Consent Mode v2: if you reject or make no choice, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics 4 stays off.
In the United States there is no cookie banner: Google Analytics 4 is active from your first visit, with Google Signals and ad personalization turned off and IP addresses anonymized. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in measuring how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; the controller is an Italian company). You can object at any time (Art. 21 GDPR):
- a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser is honored automatically: Google Analytics 4 does not start;
- on your first visit InMobi opens the "Do Not Process My Personal Information" panel. Object there by opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information or of targeted advertising, or switch off the Google consent for statistics (analytics storage) in its "Google consents" section. "Cookie settings" in the footer reopens that panel.
Once you object, the _ga cookies are deleted and Google Analytics 4 is no longer loaded on the following pages.
5. Google AdSense
To fund the site we may, with your consent, use Google AdSense (Google Ireland Ltd.) to display ads. Cookies may be used to serve and measure ads. Without consent no advertising cookies are set; personalized advertising only occurs if you choose it.
6. Contact form
If you message us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, e-mail, message) to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) GDPR). The data is deleted once it is no longer needed.
7. Newsletter (double opt-in)
If you subscribe to our newsletter we process your e-mail address on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use a double opt-in: after signing up you receive a confirmation e-mail, and the subscription becomes active only when you click the link. The time of sign-up and confirmation are stored as proof of consent. Sending and management use our self-hosted software (Listmonk) on our own EU infrastructure; no data is passed to third parties. Newsletter emails contain no tracking pixels and no tracked links: we do not record whether messages are opened or which links are clicked. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter e-mail, after which your address is removed.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw a consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact [email protected].
9. US residents (CCPA)
We do not sell personal information. California residents may request access to or deletion of personal information we hold; contact us at the address above. Advertising cookies are set only after your consent. Statistics (Google Analytics 4) are active by default in the United States; you can object at any time with Global Privacy Control (GPC), in InMobi's "Do Not Process My Personal Information" panel or via "Cookie settings" in the footer (see section 4).
